Vintage 50s Swing Dress

I love vintage. Vintage 50’s swing dresses are fun and uplifting. They’re very modest as well. I do love these Belle Poque retro dresses. They’re very pretty and actually great for a costume party or 50’s themed dance. I found one vintage swing dress by Belle Poque that looks like it could be inspired by the most recent Alice in Wonderland movie.

This vintage dress from Belle Poque has black and blue roses across a chess board pattern. I love it! It reminded me of Alice in Wonderland. Why is this relevant? Because my niece is obsessed with the movie and has been an Alice a few times for Halloween. When I first was given the chance to review these dresses, my nieces said they didn’t like any. I was about to get one for myself.

However, I saw this one and pointed it out to my niece, while mentioning how it would make a great Alice costume. She immediately understood where I got that vision from and fell in love! She will be rocking this vintage 50s dress as a unique Alice this Halloween, and I hoping she loves it enough to wear it for other occasions. I can picture my older niece rocking this at a school dance as both would fit in the small.

The stitching and quality of this dress is good. The fabric is a bit thick and heavy, but I think that just makes it sturdier for the teens I gave it to. I adore the colors and design. I feel it will be perfect years to come! It’s been washed only once, and it didn’t fade or shrink from what I can tell. I am super excited to see my nieces in it for Halloween. I know they will rock the swing dress well.
